For those of you without Facebook, here is the message that was sent out earlier:
Subject: Anime NebrasKon Cosplay Frisbee BBQ Picnic - Rain or Shine! Come Enjoy Food with Us and Meet New People
Greetings, all!
Our Anime NebrasKon picnic is tomorrow at Elmwood Park in Omaha from 2-7 p.m., rain or shine! Feel free to come early, about 1 or so, if you prefer the shine to the rain.

We're going to call this one the Anti-Rain Picnic. What does that mean? There's some chance of rain, but we're going to show that weather what we're made of! Bring a raincoat, umbrella or 2, rainboots, and in general any good anti-rain stuff with you in case it does rain/gets muddy. Gotta protect those outfits.
(You may want to print this note for reference.

)
CONTEST: Whoever brings the most ridiculous rain gear or rain prevention item (examples could be tents, scuba gear, anti-rain protest signs in water-resistant ink, etc.) will win a prize!
HOW TO FIND US: Look for people in costume. There will be many of us. ^_^ Write this number down - 402-416-0439. This is Dylan's phone number. He'll give directions in case you need them. If plans change, he's also one to call.
WHAT TO BRING (besides rain gear) - while optional, bringing these things would really help out!:
*Food item - The more food we have, the bigger the feast! It'll be awesome if everyone can bring something. Side dishes and desserts are especially needed. We'll provide the meat to grill.
*Frisbees and outdoor stuff!
*Games (may want to lean toward ones that won't get damaged if they get wet in case of rain)
*Folding chairs/tables (stuff to sit on and hang out on)
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS AND WE GET TIRED OF IT? Well, if it rains continuously and we tire of protesting the weather, the plan is to head to Family Fun Center at 7052 Dodge Street (72nd and Dodge St.) in Omaha. It's really close to Elmwood, and we can always head back to the park and eat after we play some Family Fun Center games.
WANT TO PICNIC-HOP? We also want to inform you about an awesome free Steampunk-themed picnic at a nearby park, run by some really cool people. Their picnic starts at 12 tomorrow in Memorial Park in Omaha. Feel free to visit them and then come visit us!
