Re: What series are you currently watching?
I just got back from Anime Iowa and now I've got a few shows to watch: Blue Seed Saint Seiya Godanar!
Great shoujo, huh? Revolutionary Girl Utena is my favorite of the shoujo genre (Magic Knight Rayearth is cool too)! Vision of Escaflowne is semi-shoujo and pretty awesome. K-On! rocks...literally. My-Hime, Pretear, and Super Gals! are all a lot of fun. Does Miyuki Chan in Wonderland count as shoujo?

Re: What series are you currently watching?
Just finished Angel Beats. I was surprised, it was pretty good.
Also recently finished Michiko to Hatchin. I enjoyed it quite a bit and really wasn't sure where they were going to go with it. And wow, a series with more than just one token non fair skinned character.

So far from the new season Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi (very long name) is pretty good, one of the better ones for the new shows.

Re: What series are you currently watching?
Since it's the baseball season, I'm watching Cross Game and Major, two very good anime about the sport. You don't need to know about the game to enjoy them, but it helps.
Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom: Terrible title, not terrible show. It's the same style of show as Bee Train's "Girls With Guns" trilogy except with a guy as one of the main characters. Of the trilogy, the only one I really liked was Madlax. It had a story, the action grew from the story, the fighting was somewhat choreographed and well animated, Yuki Kajiura's music was well placed, and it had over half dozen interesting characters. Noir was a bore and El Cazador de la Bruja is laughably bad (Seriously, the villain does nothing in the second half of the series except boink his girlfriend until the last episode). Phantom is hovering somewhere around good, though the secret to their bad ass assassins is they can find plot holes and walk through them. But no matter how good or bad a Bee Train action series is, I still manage to watch them all the way through ,so that's something I guess.
I'm going through Macross Frontier to see if I can get through. It was supposed to be this huge title and it wound up really ordinary save Yoko Kanno's music. It tried to please everyone and wound up pleasing not as many people as they would've liked, so I'm watching it again to A) Get to the end, and B) See it without my initial expectations.
Other than that, I'm waiting for Eden of the East (Saw it on fansubs, but I try to buy the official releases when I can), and the Blu Ray of Last Exile (I already have the series on DVD, but why not see if they can make a gorgeous series look more so?) to come out.

Re: What series are you currently watching?
I've been watching the original Yu-Gi-Oh series, long before it was about card games....although nine out of the 28 episodes are about cards....

Re: What series are you currently watching?
Hime-chan's Ribbon for nostalgia. Someday maybe I'll get my hands on the whole series. And the big question is... why are most of her transformations into dudes? >:D

A rather odd show called "Rainbow". It's about seven inmates in a juvenile prison in post-WWII-era Japan, who create identities based off of the seven colors of the rainbow. From what I've seen so far, yeah, it's about as gay as it sounds.

They really hype up the creepiness factor with the head guard, doctor, and owner of the orphanage. I felt icky just watching this. But if you can stand the gore, torture, and the mature content, this is a great show.
